Kilkenny One-Parent Community
We are a volunteer-led network of parents which with the support of an interagency steering group, was established in 2020 following the published research for Kilkenny One Parent Families ‘Voice and Visibility’
The KOPC aims to amplify the voices and increase the visibility of one parent families in a positive and empowering way throughout Kilkenny. We aim to connect, support and celebrate each other on our parenting journey.
- Welcoming, valuing and respecting all those parenting alone. We strive to be inclusive and respectful of all individuals and their experiences.
- Providing relevant information to parents
- Providing opportunities for parents to connect and support one another.
- Collaborating with agencies and organisations who have a role in the provision of services and supports to One-Parent Families
