For those of you having your baby in St Luke’s General Hospital Carlow/Kilkenny, we invite you and your partner/support person to attend Antenatal Classes to help prepare you for birth, breastfeeding and the transition to parenthood.

Classes are a great way to get information and learn skills – helping you to make informed decisions about your labour, birth, and parenting.

We recommend booking into all of following classes:

1. Wellbeing in Pregnancy Class (please attend this class as early as possible in pregnancy, this is facilitated for expectant mothers only)
2. Physiotherapy Class
3. Infant Feeding Class
4. Labour and Birth Preparation Class
5. Postnatal Care & Parentcraft Class

Classes also give you the opportunity to ask questions and express any concerns you may have.

St Luke’s General Hospital offer both face to face classes in Carlow and Kilkenny and online classes with our Parenthood Educator Kathy.
